Worcester Museum of Local LifeVisiting this fine museum is like stepping back in time; displays focus on scenes from Worcester's past, including Victorian shops, clothing, toys, and daily life during the dark days of World War II. The museum is housed in an attractive 16th century timber-framed house in one of the best-preserved sections of Worcester. The Worcester at War section of the museum depicts life on the Home Front in WWII, with objects from everyday life, photographs, and period music highlighting period rooms. The school room upstairs is set up to show life in a Victorian school, including an unusual 5-seater desk. A Kitchen display shows everyday life in a Victorian and early 20th century kitchen, and the museum holds regular workshops and a variety of changing exhibits throughout the year. CONTACT OPENING
