The Mortal Man has enjoyed its long established position in the rugged fells of Troutbeck valley since 1689.
Accommodation, which includes luxury four-poster rooms, offer superb comfort and glorious views of the Troutbeck valley.
The residents lounge and 2 adjoining bars offer the perfect place to relax, complete with glorious log fires.
The bars offer a cosy atmosphere where you may enjoy a light lunch or in the evening sample the real traditional ales and many malt whiskies on offer.
Dinner is also available in the evening, with a bar or ?a carte restaurant menus available.
The hotel offers both room only and dinner or bed and breakfast rates. As the hotel is situated in the Troutbeck valley, it attracts a lot of walkers. Therefore dogs are also welcome at The Mortal Man (at an additional cost).
